Annie Griffiths was one of the first women photographers to work for National Geographic. She has covered women’s issues on six continents, and her work has also been featured in LIFE, Geo, Smithsonian, Time, Stern and many other publications. Annie has received awards from the National Press Photographers Association, Associated Press, National Organization of Women and White House News Photographers Association.

Anna Kåri is a photojournalist based in London. She travels and works extensively in Africa and Asia, on personal projects and for clients. Her work has appeared in Time, The Sunday Times Magazine, Le Monde, The Guardian, Politiken and many other publications. She also works for charities including Save the Children and Amnesty International.

Andrew McConnell

Andrew McConnell began his career as a press photographer covering the closing stages of the conflict in Northern Ireland and the transition to peace. He has covered issues such as the conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, e-waste in Ghana, surfing in the Gaza Strip, urban refugees worldwide, and the ongoing occupation of Western Sahara. In 2011 he received two first prizes at the World Press Photo Awards and two National Press Photographers Awards, including the prestigious Best of Show.

Abdullah Shayagan

Abdulla Shayagan was born in 1990 in Afghanistan’s Bamyan province into a farming family. His interest in photography began during a three-month journalism training programme that in turn led to him enrolling in a 3rd Eye photojournalism training programme. Now an active member of 3rd Eye, his work has been exhibited in Afghanistan and abroad. He now works as a freelance writer and photographer.

Prabha Jayesh

Prabha Jayesh Patel, 42, lives in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. She took up photography three years ago. Since then, her awards have included being the winner of the 'Waste to Photo' award organised by the Sardinia Symposium and the “Clean & Green India”, organised by ASSIST India/Ten Photos to Shake the World. Her documentary projects include “Salty Life” about the lives of salt workers in Little Rann of Kutch.

Prabha Jayesh is the first place winner of The Other Hundred Educators Edition.

Jenny Matthews is an award-winning photographer and teacher. Since 1982 she has been documenting social issues in Britain and abroad, particularly focusing on the consequences of war on the lives of women and children and the issues of dispossession and human rights. Her project “Women and War” resulted in a book and touring exhibition.

Janet Jarman works as a photojournalist and multimedia producer based in Mexico. She was recently awarded a documentary film grant from the MacArthur Foundation. Janet graduated with a journalism degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has worked as a staff photographer at The Miami Herald and has a master’s degree in environmental issues from the University of London.

Since 2009, Hamburg-based Bente Marei Stachowske has worked as a photojournalist documenting social and environmental issues. Her work has taken her to Malawi, South Sudan, Gambia, USA, India and Chile. She also undertakes assignments for non-governmental organisations, enterprises and newspapers. Her work has been exhibited in California, London, Hamburg and Quito.

Alessandro Vincenzi is a self-trained documentary photographer with a special interest in stories about Eastern Europe and the countries of the former Soviet Union. His career as a photographer started at the end of 2008 after working for almost five years with Medecins Sans Frontieres as a biologist. He is based in Barcelona, Spain, where he lives with his partner Rosemarie and his son Matias.
